The Canada International Children’s Art Festival is supported by the Toronto municipal government and is organized by the same group which has held the Canada International Children’s Art Exhibition every year since 2002. That event has drawn more than 2000 from all over the world and has become a platform for children to exhibit their art, exchange ideas and develop friendships.
The Canada International Children’s Art Festival will include children’s paintings, animation, calligraphy, photography, design, sculpture and time-based media such as cell phone video, musical performance and talent shows.
The organizers anticipate that the festival will foster a positive, aesthetic and educational experience among creative and sophisticated young artists. Furthermore, the festival will provide a stage for the children of varied backgrounds and countries to extend friendship, tolerance, understanding, and through it make the world a better place.
The Canada International Children’s Art Festival takes place on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Canada and China. It is also the 25th anniversary of the friendship between the province of Ontario and Jiangsu.
