Introduction
The 2011 Canada International Children’s Art Festival will be held at Toronto City Hall from August 27th to August 28th, 2011.
Organized by the Canada-China Culture Council, Toart Communications and diverse members of the local community, the festival will feature:
1. 9th Canada international Children’s Art Exhibition;
2. Canadian Children’s Mobile Phone Film Contest;
3. Canadian Children’s Green Idea Contest;
4. Canadian Children’s Music & Dance Competition;
5. Festival Opening ceremony, Award ceremony and Gala;
6. International Children’s Book Fair;
7. Children’s Green theme Summer Camp;
8. Children’s Animation Workshop.
In the past exhibitions, it has drawn more than 2,000 pieces of art work from Canada and other countries. This event has indeed become a powerful platform for the young artists to showcase their creativity and talents.
Registration Rules and Information (for Art Exhibition)
- Eligible Age Groups
- 6 years old and under
- 7 to 10 years old
- 11 to 14 years old
- 15 to 17 years old
- Art Categories
- 2-D: Drawing, painting, prints, calligraphy, etc.
- 3-D: Craftwork, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, etc.
- Photography: portraits, landscape, still life, etc.
- Digital Artwork: graphic design, animation, web design, etc.
- All entries must be made solely by the participant within the past year.
- Entries will be displayed publicly and winning entries will not be returned to participants.
- A $20 CAD registration fee is required from all Canadian entrants upon registering. ($20 USD for non-Canadian entrants.) Accepted payment options are cash, money order, or cheques made out to Toart Communications Ltd.
- 2-D entries cannot exceed 35.5 cm x 43.2 cm (14 inches x 17 inches) in size.
- 3-D entries cannot exceed 1 m x 1 m x 1 m in size.
- ntries will be evaluated by creativity, expression of the theme, and technical skill.
- All entries must be received by July 31, 2010.
