Rules and Regulations

Participation requirements:

Categories:
A. Fine Arts:
Painting, printmaking, animation, pottery, sculpture, handicrafts, calligraphy, AIGC painting, etc.
B. Video Arts :
Visual art works created using digital photography and videography techniques, AIGC short films, etc. (For details, please refer to the MV Short Video Contest Regulations.)
C. Written Art: (Literature)
Fairy tales, poems, scripts (drama, film etc.), stories
D. Music:
Piano, violin, wind music, children’s play, singing. (see music competition Rules and Regulations for details)
E. Dance: (see dance competition Rules and Regulations for details)
F. Speech: (see speech competition Rules and Regulations for details)
G. Drama: (see drama competition Rules and Regulations for details)
Artwork Requirement
1. Entries are collected globally.
2. All artwork shall be done and completed by the artist him/herself within the last 12 months. Entries must not be mounted or framed.
3. for Fine Arts: Art works should be flat and the dimensions should all be 14 X 17 inches (35.5 X 43.2 cm.). Chinese paintings and calligraphy art pieces should be 4 feet (120 cm.). Photo prints should be 12 X 16 inches (including group of photos and series of photos). For a series of photos and group photos, please indicate the order in which you want them displayed. Three-dimensional arts: The length, width and height of should not exceed 40 inches (1 metre). Short films should not exceed 3 minutes. The format used for short films should be: MOV format; H264 video decoding; MPG format; MP4 format; and would be greater than or equal to 1080P or 1080I HD Film source format. Written art length should be about 1500 words (with a brief summary in English).
4. Please specify in writing behind each art work: the title of the artwork, name, age and school.
(Note: the candidate’s information and name (Name; Age; Mailing Address; Postal Code; Telephone Number; Email Address) must not be displayed in front of the art work. The size of the works cannot be arbitrarily changed. If any category of art doesn’t meet any of the criterias stipulated by the Festival’s regulation, they will be automatically disqualified.
5. Any copying, photocopying, plagiarizing (completing someone else’s work), inspired by an existing work will be disqualified. The Organizing Committee has the right to cancel all qualifications for selection, exhibition, publication, and publicity in the art festival at any time.
6. All entries for the festival will not be refunded. The ownership of the entries will belong to the Organizing Committee of the Canada International Children ’s Art Festival. The organizing committee has the right to auction, copy, distribute, exhibit, and film the selected works; the right to take pictures and publicly use the photos freely; to use the author’s information in the registration form and website for the booklet publication and promotional purpose.
Registration and schedule
1. Participants, please fill out the online registration form first, click here to register online.
2. After the registration form is submitted successfully, the system will automatically generate a registration confirmation code. Please write the “Registration Confirmation Code” on the back of the work and mail it to the designated address of the organizing committee office: Unit #3, 4500 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, Ontario M1S 3R6 Canada. Recipient: Ziona Zhou, phone: +1 647-996-2877. Please remember the name and tracking number of the courier company, so that you can track it yourself. For digital submission: After uploading the artwork to the cloud disk (Google, Baidu cloud disk), send your name, registration confirmation code, the link URL, sharing password and related materials to the email designated by the organizing committee: artwork@childrenart.ca
3. Registration fee:
Free: registration is free, artworks are not included in the awards, if you need a certificate of participation, you need to pay an additional $10/participation certificate ($10 USD/participation certificate outside of Canada) (Digital),
Online entry: $50 CAD/person for online exhibition ($50 USD/person outside of Canada), registration fee includes an electronic artwork booklet,
Digital artwork booklet: $10 CAD/volume ($10 USD/volume outside of Canada),
Physical exhibition: $100 CAD/person ($100 USD/person outside Canada), registration fee include Toronto City Hall physical exhibition,
Printed artwork booklet: $50 CAD/volume ($50 USD/volume outside of Canada),
(The above fees do not include shipping costs. If mailing is required, it will be calculated according to the specific country and region).
All the fees will be used to supplement the activities of the festival.

Please put your name and category of the competition when paying. After successful payment, please send your name, category, registration confirmation code, payment method, payment confirmation code to payment@childrenart.ca
5. After confirming the receipt of the entries and payment information, the organizing committee will notify the participants by email.
6. The deadline for registration is June 30, 2024. Mailing works are based on postmarks. Please indicate on the envelope “22nd Canada International Children’s Art Festival Registration”.

1. Canada International Children’s Art Festival Organizing Committee has expanded into a platform promoting creative collaboration between Canadian and World-renowned artists and educators. These experts are representatives of Canada’s and the World’s vast multicultural society. Our objective is for the art festival to become internationally recognized an acclaimed Their mission is to judge artworks based on the Relativity of the Year’s Theme, Creativity, the Quality of the Artwork.

Organization Excellency Award: Given to Institutions, Schools and Teachers, that have recommended 100 Artworks or more
The Tutor Excellency Award: Awarded to all instructors whose students have won Gold, Silver and Bronze.
3. The “Golden Beaver” award was established for the first time this year. Reward special talents and make special contributions to the festival.
Booklet Publication
The organizing committee will announce the winners on the official website of the festival. If the winner is unable to pick up the award, he/she can request the organizing committee to mail the trophy and certificate, and the mailing cost shall be paid by the winner themselves. The organizing committee will invite Canadian celebrities, arts, sponsors and celebrities from all walks of life to present awards to the winners. The commendation was jointly issued by the Canadian parliamentarian and the chairman of the festival organizing committee.
2. The organizing committee will edit and publish the “22nd Canadian International Children’s Art Festival artwork collection booklet”. The festival cooperates with publishing firm to provide the international standard book number ISBN. The booklet is expected to be published and distributed in October 2024. If you need to mail, please add a mailing fee of $ 40 CAD / volume (within Canada).

5. After confirming the receipt of the order information and payment, the organizing committee will notify the participants by email All time schedules are for reference only, the actual situation must be based on the actual progress of the festival.
